The Importance of Eating at Ease!
We all look forward to enjoying a tasty meal, a yummy dessert, and a warm cup of coffee. The great majority of us are also aware that our choices of foods and the quality of the food that we eat are essential to maintaining a healthy body and mind. However, eating organic or natural products and balancing our diets is only a part of what we can call as proper consumption.
Several studies and experiments conducted on water molecules have shown that our mental processes, thoughts, emotions, and feelings have a great influence on the food we eat and the water we drink. When water molecules were exposed to thoughts of love, compassion, happiness, and good feelings, the water molecules responded and formed a more coherent and healthy molecule structure than the samples exposed to negative feelings and emotions. These experiments also showed that positive visualization kept water clean and in a coherent molecular state and negative visualization resulted in water that became polluted. It was shown as well that when a specific sample was fully ignored, meaning no good or positive feelings were sent to the sample, this brought about the worst molecular structure formation from all the samples. The water and substance included in this sample simply got rotten out and very badly.
The message concerning “ignorance” is that anything we ignore, anything we do not pay attention to rottens out. In our terms, Ignorance is no more than Neglect. This is very relevant and on point with the topic of Eating at Ease. We should not ignore or neglect that it is very necessary to be at ease while eating.
Eating at Ease means that our meal-time should be sacred and enjoyable. This should be a time where we are relaxed and at ease. We should avoid doing the many other things we believe we have to do while gulping the food in. We have been conditioned and thus like eating in front of the TV, or computer or looking at the cellphones or even having the food in one hand and doing other manual tasks. We basically multitask too while eating. The issue with multitasking is that many times these other things we are doing while we eat are not relaxing things or positive things, even if we think they are. Ignoring and neglecting our meal-time is diminishing the incredible importance that nutrition has in our bodies. Basically we are ignoring what good health and a good life can be. Our physical bodies are nothing but the consecration of enormous amounts of food consumed since we were born. We would have not achieved our adult body sizes if it were not for the amounts of food we have eaten all these years. Then, nutrition is key for development.
When we do not pay attention to the way we eat and in the environment, we do so, we are then ignoring or neglecting this very essential function to our bodies. If we gulp in our foods and do not chew properly and also do so while having negative interactions and conversations our food also rottens out. The food that we don't pay attention to rottens out even before it is consumed. The digestive system gets sluggish, slow, and functions poorly; thus, it is unable to provide us the sufficient energy to break down the food content. At meal-time, the focus should be on the meal only so that the body is able to direct its energy to this one process at that time. In this fashion, our metabolical response and digestion will occur quickly and more efficiently.
Ignoring the right food intake will result in poor health and poor nutrient absorption. The environment in which we have our meals and the time we take to digest our foods make a marathonic difference in our health and body wellbeing.
Set a pleasant and conducive atmosphere for meal-time or for any food that is to be consumed. Avoid discussing negative matters over meals. Avoid having a meal in the presence of anger or strong negative emotions be it from ourselves or others because it will rotten the meal before it is even consumed. Pay attention to the food and the setting. Allow for a stable, balanced, and agreeable time for your meal. Even if it is 10 minutes, make those 10 minutes relaxing and enjoyable. Multitasking is also ignoring the food and the act of eating. Prepare your food with love, intention, and pleasantness. The intention, attention, and focus we put to this very important moment of our lives will determine in great proportions our wellbeing and health. Eat well, live well. Eat at Ease.
